Conclusion

All About JesusThe whole Bible certainly has much to teach us about Jesus Christ. The Old Testament prophets gave us a prophetic fingerprint that taught us about the Messiah. Jesus alone fulfilled all of these prophecies, including the prophecies about His atoning death and His resurrection which followed. These fulfilled prophecies not only show that the Bible is from God, but they prove that Jesus is who He claimed to be. He is the Messiah of God and the only way to salvation. I pray that you will consider the position that your sin has put you in before God. Your sin leaves you subject to the wrath of the Just Judge of all the earth. Your sinful state must point you to Jesus, God’s only cure. Justice will be served. Either you must die in the second death of hell when you leave this life, or you must believe the Gospel, submit to Jesus as your Lord, and be united with Him in His death and resurrection (Romans 6:1-7).  From the giving of the Great Commission to the teaching of the Apostles, the same response to the Gospel was taught and obeyed. Jesus taught the need of believing the gospel and receiving the gift of salvation through baptism in Mark 16:16 and Matthew 28:19-20. The Apostles obeyed what the Lord commanded them in the Great Commission. We see this in the book of Acts. In the examples we looked at, lost sinners that believed the gospel were commanded to be baptized so their sins could be removed. In the epistles that were quoted, we saw the teaching of the Apostles about baptism, which shows that baptism is necessary to have our sins removed. Then the early church followed suit, teaching the exact same response to the Gospel that has been taught here. I pray that you will consider these things and would come to know the Lord, the One who all of scripture is about.
